support-person, you can have a healthy, safe, empowering, & satisfying birth

Chavah's Doula package includes the following:
2 Prenatal meetings in your home to discuss a birth plan and form a rapport.
Labor and birth support. Chavah can come to your home in early labor and accompany you to the hospital (or other chosen place of birth) in active labor.
25 Years experience providing prenatal and postnatal bodywork and massage, Chavah's healing hands can do wonders for pain relief during labor.
As a Licensed Midwife, Chavah can assess cervical dilation, check the baby's position, and listen to the heartbeat - prior to and during labor if desired.
Chavah provides a wealth of valuable insight and support gained from her 25 years of experience.
Review coping skills and explore birth philosophy.
We become familiar with normal, healthy birth physiology.
We learn proven tools and techniques for pain management.
We will work to build TRUST in the body's ability to give birth.
We develop an appreciation for the mental and emotional aspects of this journey.
We learn how to lower risks of complications, and discuss how certain complications are addressed.
Non-judgemental, open attitude towards personal choice and informed consent!!
Payment plans can be arranged.
Additional prenatal and/or postpartum services can be arranged on an individual basis. Chavah can provide postpartum care in the form of breastfeeding support, teaching about newborn care, as well as discussing your birth.

Home Birth and Midwifery

Full-service Maternity care in your own home

Chavah Benzion is a Licensed Midwife and Certified Professional Midwife with 25 years experience and thousands of births in home, birth center and hospital settings.
Prenatal Care Home Visits - Each month until week 28, twice a month until week 36, then weekly until birth. (State license states birth has to occur between 37-42 weeks)
Labor and birth attendance. Chavah and her assistant attend your birth at home and provide safe, caring, and professional care. Chavah tailors her care to suit the individual needs of the families she serves.
Complete Postpartum care in your home. Chavah will return one day following the birth to perform the Newborn Screening and visit the mother and baby again at 1 week, 3 weeks, and 6 weeks postpartum, assist with lactation and assess healing of mother and well-being and transition of the baby. The midwife will check on baby's weight gain over the first 6 weeks of life.

Monitrice - Midwife Labor Check

Have Chavah visit you in labor prior to

going to the hospital

Cervical Exam to assess dilation, station, and effacement.
Monitor the baby's heart rate with a Doppler -How's baby feeling?
Assess the baby's position - where is baby?
Check the birthing person's vitals-blood pressure, temp, pulse.
Assessment of contraction pattern - is labor latent or active?
Advisement on next steps, when to go to the hospital or birth center, activities for labor, and general midwife wisdom.
Excellent service for first-time birthers or anyone wanting reassurance.
Appropriate for birthing folks who already have a doula with them in labor.

Expecting a baby? Set yourselves up for success

Total Cost $300 per couple -

There are four, information-packed 2-hour long classes in a full series.
We will learn in small, personalized classes- individualized attention- from the comfort and safety of your home.
Midwife Chavah is a passionate teacher with over two decades of experience.
We learn dozens of effective coping skills and explore birth philosophy.
We become familiar with Normal and Healthy Birth Physiology.
We learn proven tools and techniques for pain management.
Classes focus on The Midwifery Model of Care.
We will work to build TRUST in the body's ability to give birth.
We develop an appreciation for the mental and emotional aspects of this journey.
We learn how to lower risks of complications, and discuss how certain complications are addressed.
Chavah utilizes premium content and teaching materials from Motherboard Birth

POSTPARTUM Doula - Postpartum Midwifery CAre

Chavah has over 25 years in the newborn care and postpartum doula field. As a postpartum doula, she visits the home after the birth and helps with baby care and feeding, lactation, cleaning, cooking, childcare, wisdom, support, and encouragement. She can also provide postpartum massage / bodywork upon request.
